Location Rights Template |
The Location Rights Template (or Location Access) screen enables you to display and define location-specific access rights templates. Location Rights templates, when associated with a user group, determine which location data users of a particular screen can view or modify.
If there is a check in the Grant access to data only for authorized location IDs checkbox for a user group on the Special Rights tab of the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> User Groups screen, group members only have access to data as specified on the Location Rights Template assigned to the group. Access to location data not explicitly allowed by the template is not permitted on certain screens.
See location-level access control for more information.
The Asset Chooser will appropriately restrict access to assets based on the user's Location Access Rights template. For places across the web modules where you would like to display all assets, such as the Service Request portal, list the Screen ID in the table below and check View. The asset chooser will detect this and will not enforce location security rights when it is opened from that page.
