Assets |
The Assets tab enables you to associate equipment units with a capital project. The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can search on capital project ID, description, capital project type ID, capital project status ID, capital program ID, and capital priority ID, among other values.
Capital project ID
Identifier of the capital project currently displayed in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is 30 characters. May include some special characters (such as an ampersand: &). This field has a list box. The project description displays to the right of the ID. This field is required.
Note: If auto-numbering is enabled, a project ID is generated automatically when a project type is entered. Automatic numbering for project types is activated on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Management -> Capital Planning -> Setup -> Capital Project Types screen.
Asset candidate query
Name of the ad hoc query report that was created and saved using the AdHoc Query portal in Web Modules. If there is a query associated with the capital project ID, this field auto-populates. This field is display only.
Delete: If this field has a check, the entire row is deleted when you click Save. Equipment units may only be deleted if not assigned to active projects.
Equipment ID: Identifier of the equipment unit. This field has a list box. Equipment IDs are created on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
Description: Text description of the query.
Percent of allocated budget: This is the percentage indicating how much of the budget will be used on the asset listed on the same row.
Comment area: Text comments regarding the equipment unit. Maximum field length is 150 characters.
From segment ID: For linear assets, this field is required and must be defined on asset. For stationary assets, this field is optional and must match asset's values on entry. For any other asset types, this field should remain empty.
From marker ID: For linear assets, this field is required and must be defined on the segment and must be within asset bounds. For stationary assets, this field is optional and must match asset's values on entry. For any other asset types, this field should remain empty.
From offset: This field should calculate automatically.
