The Control Type Info tab displays information about the control type to which a control is assigned. All fields are display only. To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on screen ID, window ID, control order, default title, and grid order.
The fields in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Screen ID
Identifier of the screen on which the control appears. This field has a list box. The screen name displays to the right of the ID.
To determine the screen ID for a specific screen, refer to How to display a field's properties (screen, window, and control IDs; and table and column name).
Window ID
Identifier of the window in which the control appears. This field has a list box. The window name displays to the right of the ID.

The bottom section of the tab displays the information about the control types.
Control type
Number of the control type to which the control is assigned. Control types determine some aspects of how the software displays and processes controls. This field has a list box. The control type name displays to the right of the ID.
Control types are defined on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Screen Design -> Control Types screen.
Control category
Category of the control, as determined by its control type.
Description
Description of the control, as determined by its control type.
Default title
Title of the control, as determined by its control type.
User title
Title of the control (as determined by its control type) as it appears on the screen.
Width
Width (in characters) of the control, as determined by its control type.
Height
Height of the control, as determined by its control type.
Character capacity
Maximum number of characters the control can contain, as determined by its control type.
Mask
Pattern of characters that appears in the control (as determined by its control type) prior to a user's changes.
