Value Range Codes |
Many state DMVs have coding schemes that apply to the value of assets. You can define these schemes as value range codes. The Value Range Codes screen enables you to define range codes that specify the low and high values of an equipment unit.
After a value range code is assigned to an equipment unit, the unit's value for registration defaults based on the midpoint of the range (specified on the Special Fee Setup Options tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Special Fees -> Setup -> Options screen). This value is then used to calculate value-based fees.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
