Functions (Equipment Class-Primary Information) |
The Functions tab enables you to display and specify the types of activities performed on equipment units assigned to the equipment class. You can assign equipment units to equipment class IDs on the Classes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Equipment class ID
Identifier of the equipment class currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is 30 characters. This field has a list box. If the ID already exists, the class name displays to the right of the ID.
To indicate that a function is associated with the equipment class ID, place a check in the applicable field. You can select as many fields as are appropriate for each class.
Meter types
Equipment units in the class are assigned to meter types. The equipment class ID displays in the list box for the Equipment class for meter types field on the Meter Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
If there is a check in any of the following fields, the equipment class ID displays in the list boxes for the corresponding Equipment class for: fields on the Classes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
Maintenance
Maintenance is performed on equipment units in the class.
PM Program
Equipment units in the class have a preventive maintenance program.
Standards
Cost and usage standards are applied to equipment units in the class.
Rental Rates
Equipment units in the class have assigned rental rate charges. In addition to the Classes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen, you can assign equipment units to equipment class IDs with this function on the Assignments tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Usage -> Meter Readings – Assignments – Usage screen.

Equipment units in the class have defined shop resources required for repair and PM work.
