Asset Categories |
The Asset Categories tab enables you to restrict condition ratings by asset category. Specifying which condition ratings apply to an asset category limits the number of items that display in a choice list.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on condition rating and ranking.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Condition ID
Identifier of the condition. Must be unique. This field has a list box. If the condition ID already exists, its description displays to the right of the ID. This field is required.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab specify the asset categories associated with a condition ID. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are optional.
Supports all asset categories
If this field has a check, the condition ID is supported by equipment in all asset categories.
Tip: Release 6.2 set all existing condition ratings to support all asset categories.
Enforce asset category restrictions for this condition
If this field has a check, the condition may only be used on a work order for an equipment unit that has an asset category supported by the condition.
Note: If this field has a, no supported asset categories are listed, and the Supports all asset categories field is blank, the condition rating may not be used.
If only certain asset categories support the condition ID, specify them on the Supported asset categories screen group.
Delete
If this field has a check, the entire row is deleted when you click Save. You may not delete an asset category that is in use on an active equipment unit.
Asset category ID
Identifier of the asset category. This field has a list box.
Asset categories are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Asset Categories screen.
Description
Name of the asset category. This field is read only; it populates automatically after the asset category ID is selected.
Reference Text
This is a text field for users to input comments regarding the asset.
Example Photo
This is a text field that displays the file name for an uploaded file associated with the asset. Files may be uploaded by clicking the paperclip icon and utilizing the Add Link pop-in.
