Parts Used On |
The Parts Used On tab for equipment types displays information about the parts used by various equipment types. This information enables you to keep track of parts that are used on all units with the same code. Equipment types can be used to identify obsolete part numbers in inventory. To view information on this tab, you must have authorization.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Equipment type
Equipment type currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is 30 characters. This field has a list box. The equipment type description displays to the right of the ID.
The fields in the bottom section of this tab display information about the parts used on the equipment type. The fields are display only, but you can delete a row of information. A maximum of 500 rows will be returned.
Sort by:
By default, the Parts Used On list is sorted by part ID and then suffix in ascending order.
Part ID desc: To sort the Parts Used On list by part ID in descending order, click the Part ID desc button. A check displays in the checkbox to the left to indicate the sort order. To revert to the default sort, click the button again.
Part description asc: To sort the Parts Used On list by part description in ascending order, click the Part description asc button. A check displays in the checkbox to the left to indicate the sort order. To revert to the default sort, click the button again.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Part ID
Identifier of the part.
Part IDs are defined on the Data -> Parts Items -> Primary Information screen.
Part suffix
Number associated with the part in the Part ID field, which distinguishes it from other parts with the same part ID. This applies only if the part ID is a valid part ID.
Quantity used life
Total quantity of this part ever issued to units of the specified equipment type.
Part description
Description of the part.
