Parts - Primary Information |
The Primary Information screen for parts items enables you to display and define information about all parts kept in inventory in a location-managed database. The information on this screen affects all users at all locations.
Note: To use either the FIFO or LIFO method to price the parts the first time you define parts kept in inventory, specify AVERAGE in the Inventory pricing method field on the General tab of the Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen. Refer to How to implement a parts inventory pricing method.
Tip: You can use the filter to restrict the information that displays to a specific part ID, part suffix, inventory month, keyword, stock status, product category, or part classification, among others. The list of searchable fields on the filter is extensive; use the scroll bar to view them all. If you specify a cross-reference part ID and the system cannot find it, it searches for and displays the applicable part ID.
