The Basic Info tab for lease agreements enables you to display and define basic information about lease agreements, including their description, duration, and insurance rates.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on lease ID, number of months in lease term, and default insurance rate ID.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Lease ID
Identifier of the lease agreement currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. For vehicles, this is frequently referred to as a Schedule A. This field has a list box. If the ID already exists, the agreement description displays to the right of the ID.
The data in the fields at the bottom section of this tab define basic information about the lease agreement. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Description
Description of the service level agreement. Free-format area.
Master lease agreement
Identifier or description of the master lease agreement that the lease ID is under. This field is optional.
Number of months in lease term
Number of months before the agreement expires. This number of months is added to the date in the In service date/Actual field on the Acquisition tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen and displays the resulting date in the Lease expiration date field on the Ownership/Depreciation tab of that screen. This field is optional.
Number of meter units in lease term
The number of meter units contained in the term of the lease.
Default insurance rate ID
Default for the type of insurance coverage for the lease agreement. This field has a list box. This field is optional.
Comments
Comments and notes about the lease agreement. Optional, free-format area.
