Basic Info |
The Basic Info tab enables you to define stops, including whether it is a passenger stop.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Stop ID
Identifier of the stop. The maximum field length is 20 characters. This field is required. This field has a list box. If the name already exists, its description displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
The bottom section of the tab enables you to provide more information about the stop.
Description
Text description of the stop. The maximum field length is 20 characters. This field is required.
Passenger stop
If passengers board and disembark at the stop, place a check in this field. Also place a check in the box if this is the first or last stop listed on a schedule. Only stops identified as passenger stops will have data recorded for them on a trip.
Location ID
Identifier of the operation location. Although this field is not required, it is needed to use the Dispatch Trips screen. All stops on a route must have the same location ID. When stops are related to a route the location is required to either be at the same location as the route location or at a location where the route location is the “Higher” roll-up location to the specified stop location. The maximum field length is six characters.
Location IDs are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen.
Asset ID
To associate a stop with full asset functionality, specify a linear asset ID. The linear asset ID must belong to the same location ID as the stop ID. This field is optional. This field has a list box. The asset's description displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
Linear asset IDs are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Linear Assets -> Primary Information screen.
