Tasks |
If the Production Planning module is active, the Tasks tab enables you to specify the tasks included in a stage.
Note: If you add a new resource to the Parts Required, Bay Scheduling, Employee Scheduling, or Tools Required tab that specifies a task that does not already exist, that task is added to this tab.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on stage ID, equipment class ID, part ID, part suffix, and location ID.
The field in the top section of the Tasks tab identifies the stage. This field is required.
Stage ID
Identifier of the stage. The ID must be unique and a maximum of 20 characters. This field has a list box. The stage description displays to the right of the field.
The screen group in the bottom section of this tab enables you to identify the tasks required to repair the part. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Default resource lists based on class/task data
If this field has a check and the task ID has a corresponding record on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Class -> Class/Task Information screen, fields on the Parts Required, Bay Scheduling, Employee Scheduling, and Tools Required tabs auto-populate based on data defined for the resource class and task ID. A check is automatically placed in the Crew required field, if applicable.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Note: You may not delete a task that is in use on one of the resource requirements tabs, such as Parts Required. If a record has a part, task, equipment class, skill type, bay type, tool type, or some combination thereof assigned to a stage, you cannot delete it.
Order
Numerical order in which the task should be completed. Defaults to 0. This field is optional.
Task ID
Identifier of the task associated with the repair. This field has a list box of active tasks that are defined as either REPAIR GROUP or REPAIR TASK.
Task description
Description of the task. This field is display only.
Expected hours per unit
Estimated number of labor hours required to complete the task, per unit. Defaults to the total task hours for the stage. This field is optional.
Crew required
If this field has a check, a crew is required to perform the task.
Note: Adding tasks and creating a crew is a two-step process. On the Employee Scheduling tab, specify the task, the skill, and a technician quantity of 1. On this tab, place a check in this field. You can then insert a value of 2 or higher in the Quantity of technicians field on the Employee Scheduling tab.
