Basic Info |
The Basic Info tab enables you to assign employees to a crew.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on crew ID, location ID, and shift ID.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Crew ID
Identifier of the crew currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is eight characters. This field has a list box.
Data in the fields at the bottom section of this tab identify the employees in the crew and their skills. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Description
The description of the crew. This description is displayed in areas with crew IDs to help identify the crew from the ID.
Location ID
Identifier of the location where the crew is based. Location is allowed if any of the following checkboxes have been enabled on the Locations Primary Information screen > Functions tab: Shop (regular), Shop (mobile), Shop (external). This field has a list box. The location description displays to the right of the ID.
Shift ID
Identifier of the shift to which the crew is assigned. This field has a list box. The shift description displays to the right of the ID. This field is optional.
Crew foreman
Identifier of the crew foreman. Employees may be designated as the crew foreman as well as a crew member. A foreman may be assigned to multiple crews. This field has a list box. The employee's name displays to the right of the ID. This field is optional.
Calendar ID
Identifier of the calendar. This field has a list box. The calendar description displays to the right of the ID. This field is optional.
Can be scheduled
Check this box to make the crew active and available for scheduling.
Date and time available for scheduling
The date and time when the crew becomes available for scheduling.
The Employees on the crew screen group lists the employees assigned to the crew. An employee may only be assigned to one crew at a time.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Employee ID
Identifier of the employee. This field has a list box, restricted by location and shift. Any employee to be added must be assigned to same location as the rest of the crew. If a shift ID is specified, the employee must be assigned to that shift.
Employee IDs are assigned on the Personal Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Employees -> Primary Information screen.
Name
Name of the employee. Auto-populates after you specify an employee ID. This field is display only.
Crew lead
If this field has a check. the employee is a crew lead. Crew leads whose assigned location supports either POSTING or BOTH time entry methods have access to the Crew Time Entry button on the Supervisor portal, Work Management portal, and Work Order Postings page in Web Modules. Crew leads can navigate to the assignment screen on a specific work order to perform assignment duties to an individual work order. This includes adding and removing employee assignments to/from the work order and to/from specific tasks.
Primary crew
Check this box to make the crew on this line the primary crew for the employee. An employee can only have one crew listed as the primary crew.
