Work Order Planning |
The Work Order Planning screen enables you to set and review the necessary tasks, labor, parts, commercial services (including specific vendors), tools, and equipment required to complete a work order. The screen creates a work order with a status that indicates the work order is in the planning stage. Resource data defaults based on defined resource requirements for standard jobs or tasks added to the planned work order. You can modify and add to these as needed for each work order.
Work orders in PLANNING status are not counted as OPEN work orders for an equipment unit, and they do not generate work assignment records. PLANNING work orders display on the Capital Projects, Test Results, Service Requests/Defects (Basic Info tab), and Work Projects screens.
Note: The Work Order Planning screen supports location level and department-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.
