Detail View

Repair reason IDs for the following special repair reasons

Identifiers of the default reason for the specified repair performed on an equipment unit. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required. Each field has a list box.

Other

Indicates that the repair was due to other reasons. This is the default. This repair reason ID is assigned to work orders with a job type of REPAIR for which a repair reason ID has not been specified. If you do not want a default repair reason ID, leave this field blank.

The job type for work orders is specified on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen.

Noted in PM

Indicates that the repair was due to problems found during the performance of a PM (preventive maintenance) service. The job type for work orders is specified on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen.

Units out of service

Repair reason ID on units that are out of service.

Production runs

Indicates the repair was due to problems with the production run.

Work orders opened with hand-held devices

Repair reason ID on work orders opened with hand-held devices.

Work orders/service requests opened from incidents

Assigned to work orders and service requests generated on either the Data -> Incident Management -> Incident Management or the Data -> Incident Management -> Delays screen. If this field is blank, the repair reason in the Other field is assigned to work orders and service requests opened from incidents.

Default this repair reason on PM/inspection services and work orders

If this field has a check, the repair reason specified in the Noted in PM field defaults on all PM work orders. It takes precedence over the reason specified in the Repair reason ID field on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen. If this field is blank, the repair reason in the Noted in PM field only applies to the PM service.
