Incident Management - Overview


The Incident Management screen helps you track an incident from the time it is reported, through each related incident and response, to the time it is closed. You can also relate other types of incidents, such as delays or accidents, to a specific incident.

Basic Info

High-level information about the incident: ID number, status, date and time occurred, responsible entity, and parent incident ID (if applicable). Also enables you to open new related or unrelated incidents

More Info

Additional information regarding the incident: schedule and trip ID; segment and marker ID and offset; FRA reporting classification; and contact information for person (or persons) to be notified

Related Incidents

All child incidents associated with the parent incident on the Basic Info tab

Comments regarding the incident  

Notes

Notes regarding the incident

Delay

Information about the delay: length, type, cause, description, and individual responsible

Accident Info

Information about the accident: primary and contributing causes, agencies involved, location, and injuries and fatalities incurred

Injury Info

Information about the injured person (or persons): name and address, status, role (i.e., Employee, Passenger, Police), injury type, and number of work days missed

Alarm

Information about the alarm: location ID, alarm type, and message displayed

Reporting

Reports that were submitted as part of the accident reporting process. These include FRA reports, FTA reports, damage estimate reports, and OSHA reports

Equipment

Specifies, for reporting purposes, which equipment contributed to an incident's occurrence. Also enables you to open a new service request if an equipment unit requires an operating restriction

Service Requests/Defects

Service requests associated with an incident

Work Orders

Work orders associated with an incident

Assoc Files

File and path name of all document files associated with an incident

Attributes

Information about the attribute: ID, name, text value, and numeric value. You can also associate electronic files (e.g., scanned forms) with the attribute

Audit

Date and time the initial record was input as well as the identifier of the user who performed the action. Also displays the date and time the record was last modified and the ID of the user who performed the action
