Commercial Work |
The Commercial Work screen enables you to display and record information about flat rates for labor and parts provided by vendor contracts. The Commercial Work screen has one tab, Basic Info, whose data fields define the labor and parts rates.
The fields in the top section of this tab define the data that displays.
Vendor contract ID
Identifier of the vendor contract. This field has a list box of contract IDs that are current, valid for the vendor on the transaction, and have money remaining on the contract.
Vendor IDs are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Vendors -> Primary Information screen.
Equipment class for resources
Equipment class for resources to which equipment units are assigned under the vendor contract ID. This class controls resource requirements for shop scheduling of work for units in the class. Equipment units are assigned to equipment classes for resources on the Classes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
Data in the fields on the bottom section of this tab define the basic information about the rates. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Task ID
Identifier of the task that requires the labor or part. This field has a list box of IDs that have a check in the Active field on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen, which indicates you can post charges to the task.
Task IDs are defined on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen.
Task description
Description of the task ID. This field displays the description from the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen. This field is display only.
Labor cost
Vendor’s flat labor rate for the task ID performed on equipment units assigned to the equipment class for resources. Required if there is no information in the Parts cost field.
Parts cost
Vendor’s flat rate for parts required to complete the task ID performed on equipment units assigned to the equipment class for resources. Required if there is no information in the Labor cost field.

Free-format area. This field is optional.
