How to correct data capture errors |
To correct errors resulting from entry of data from hand-held devices, complete the following steps. To transfer data between the software and a hand-held device, the optional Bar Code and Mobile Software modules must be installed. Refer to the related documentation for these products.
Step 1. On the Data -> Data Capture -> Ext Import Error Handler screen, click to perform a Get Data.
Step 2. In the grid, select the Run ID of the upload.
Step 3. In the screen group in the tab, select the Row that contains the error. The row has a check (X) in the Posting complete field.
The Event data for the row displays in the box at the bottom of the tab.
Step 4. Do any of the following actions:
Click the Process next error button.
The screens on which you can correct the error display.
To remove the row from the list of items to process, type a check (X) in the Skip row column. This is useful if the row contains a partial record or no useful data.
To display and edit the XML data, type a check (X) in the Edit data column. This is useful to determine exactly where the problem occurred during the import. The data displays in the Event data box at the bottom of the tab, where you can edit it.
Step 5. Click the Process button or select Save Record from the Action menu.
