Basic Info (Assignment Request) |
The Basic Info tab for the Assignment Request screen. It enables you to view, edit, or enter the appropriate information for the assignment request. This is all the basic information for an item request.
Assignment request ID
The identifier assigned to the request. This field is display only.
Requested by
This person that requested this assignment. This field has a list box.
Batch ID
This is the identifier of the batch of requests. Allocation and assignment requests that were requested at the same time are given a batch ID for easier actioning.
Requested item
This is a description of the item being requested in case the requestor does not know the part or asset ID.
Requested reason
The reason for the assignment request. This field has a list box. The options for this list box are as follows (the default is New Item):
New Item
Transfer
Lost
Stolen
Broken
Expired
Asset ID
The identifier of the asset. This field has a list box.
Asset serial number
This field is required when an Asset ID has been set, and must match the serial number associated with that Asset ID. This field will be generated when an Asset ID has been entered.
Deployment Status ID
This field is based on the Asset ID. If the Deployment Status ID for the asset is the same as the Allocation and Assignments Options value, it will prevent the asset from being used on the Assignment Request.
Manufacturer ID
The identifier of the equipment unit manufacturer. The manufacturer name displays to the right of the ID. This field has a list box.
Model ID
Model of the equipment unit. The model name displays to the right of the ID. This field has a maximum character limit of 30. This field has a list box.
Part ID
The identifier of the part. The ID is associated with the part suffix. The part description displays to the right of the ID. This field has a list box.
Part suffix
The number associated with the part in the Part ID field, which distinguishes it from other parts with the same part ID. The combination of this part suffix and the part ID must be unique for each part.
Date and time requested
This is the date and time of the request. This field automatically populates with the time when the request is started, but can also be edited if needed. This field has a list box.
Resource Type
This is the type of resource requested.
Serial number
The serial number of the item.
Assignment status
This field has a list box. The options in this list box are:
Pending
Completed
Canceled
Quantity
The quantity of the items needed or affected by this request.
Request location
Identifier of the inventory location issuing the part. This field has a list box.
Approval status
This field has a list box. The options for this list box are:
Approved
Rejected
Assigned to:
This section is the group that the item is assigned to. The group ID will display on the left, and the description on the right.
Asset ID: This is the identifier of the asset. The description of the asset shows to the right of this field. This field has a list box.
Operator ID: Identifier of the operator of the equipment unit. This field has a list box.
Location ID: This is the location of the item for this Assignment Request. The description shows to the right of this field. If you are creating a new Assignment Request, choose the location ID drop down list box.
Department ID: This is the identifier of the department this item belongs to. The description of the department shows to the right of this field. This field has a list box.
Account ID: Identifier of the general accounting system's account assigned to this work order. This field has a list box.
Associated File:
Path and file name: The valid path to and file name of the image. It can be any type of file (e.g., text, image, executable) recognized by your computer. To make the file available to other users, it must be stored on a shared drive or network resource.
When you click the paperclip next to this field, the application associated with the file type (based on the file name extension) opens the file.
If this field is blank and you click the paperclip, a Browse dialog box displays, and you can select the image's path and file name.
Description: The description of the associated file.
Notification template
Identifier of the notification template. This field has a list box and a zoom button to the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Notification Template screen. This field is optional.
Note: If a template ID is provided, a notification instance ID is automatically generated based on the template data and recorded on the work order. An instance ID is generated only if the work order does not have one already.
Notification templates are defined on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Notification Template screen.
Notification status
Status of the notification. This field has a zoom button to the Notification Instance screen. This field is display only.
Related Allocation and assignment ID
This is the identifier of the related assignment record. This is a choice-list.
Origin Allocation and assignment ID
If this ID is set, this is the ID used to set the Related assignment request ID field of the related record on the Allocation and Assignment screen's and add a note to the record. This field is optional, but must be a valid ID if entered.
