Generate work calendars |
You can generate work calendars before the end of the current year.
You may use the GUI or the web-based Enterprise Portal.
Step 1. Go to the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Calendars screen.
Step 2. Click and filter for each calendar you want to update.
Step 3. Click to unlock the record.
Step 4. Edit the data on the Work Hours and/or Holidays tabs as needed.
Step 5. On the Generate tab, place a check in the Compute calendar for field and type the new year in the Year field.
Step 6. Click .
To confirm these changes, open a work order and check to see whether the work order year, work order numbers (if you reset them), and date and time stamps are correct.
For end of period – end of month processing for the month of December, all existing calendars are generated automatically for the new year. Be sure to review your holiday settings on each calendar ID for the new year before running this process.
If a calendar ID has no holidays set up for the following year, a message displays after end of month has run to alert you about calendar IDs that have no holidays. You may want to review your holidays and regenerate those calendars.
Additional application administration to be completed after the first of the year and before work begins in the new year:
GUI environment:
Stop and restart all instances of the software application.
Web environment:
Complete the following steps in the order specified:
1. Stop all Web-related application pools.
2. Stop all instances that are running the software application.
3. Restart all instances of the software application.
4. Restart all Web-related application pools.
