Calendars |
The Calendars screen enables you to display and define calendar IDs, each of which represent a pattern of work hours, including shifts and holidays, that comprise a schedule. You can also use this screen to limit the quantity of fuel that may be issued to an asset during a specific time period. The information on this screen is used to generate and store calendars of working hours, which are assigned to locations, shifts, departments, and employees using the following screens:
Locations and shifts: The Work Calendar tab on the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen
Departments: The Basic Info tab on the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Departments -> Primary Information screen
Employees: The Scheduling tab on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Employees -> Primary Information screen
The calendars generated from this screen are used to generate and store calendars of working hours to compute downtime and work delay hours on work orders for a location and to automatically compute usage hours on usage tickets. You can also use it for customer appointments. If the optional Motor Pool module is installed, this calendar is used to compute the hours of usage on returned motor pool vehicles.
When you update information on this screen, the changes take effect after you use the Generate tab to compute the calendar. In order for the system to make these computations, you must compute the calendar for each calendar ID every year.
You may not delete a calendar if an employee is designated as a crew foreman on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Crews screen.
