Equipment Units - Renumbering |
The Renumbering screen for equipment units enables you to display and change equipment unit IDs. This screen supports department-level and location-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorization to renumber equipment units.
Tip: If equipment renumbering stops in the middle due to an error, the system records the last table and column that were successfully renumbered in the last_table_name and last_column_name columns in the EQ_RENUMBER table. If the renumbering process completed successfully, these data are blank.
Use the fields in the tab to change equipment unit IDs. All fields are required.
Old equipment ID
Old identifier of the equipment unit. It must be a valid equipment unit ID. This field has a list box. The equipment unit year, manufacturer, and model display to the right of the ID.
Tip: You can set a zoom button for this field to detect the type of equipment and display the appropriate screen. If you used Administrator Mode to add a zoom button, you will need to use it again to remove your user-defined zoom button for this functionality to work.
New equipment ID
Equipment unit's new unique identifier. Free-format area. The ID must consist of valid bar code characters.
Tip: Work assignment entries are renumbered when you renumber equipment IDs. The parent IDs of the component (the component parent IDs) will also reflect the new numbering of their Parent equipment.
