Insurance Rates


The Insurance Rates screen enables you to display and define insurance rates that can be assigned to equipment units.  Insurance is not factored into equipment depreciation. It is a separate cost that is factored when you run end-of-month processing.

If the Recurring Costs tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen assigns an insurance rate to an equipment unit, during end of period's monthly processing, 1/12 of the annual amount specified is recorded for the insurance rate ID in the Equipment Cost Data (EQ_COST_DATA) table for the equipment unit for the month and year designated for monthly processing.

Detail View

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Insurance rate ID

Identifier of the insurance rate currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. This field has a list box. If the ID already exists, the insurance rate description displays to the right.

Detail View

Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define the insurance rates. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.

Description

Description of the insurance rate. Free-format area.

Current amount per year

Amount per year charged to an equipment unit for this insurance rate.
