Work accomplished codes - processing |
If an update to the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen includes the assignment of more than one work accomplished code to the same task ID, FASuite uses the assignment on the last tab it processes. FASuite processes the Tasks tab first. If any of the work accomplished codes on the subsequent tabs (Labor, Parts, and Commercial, in order of sequence) redefine the work accomplished code assigned to the task ID, FASuite uses the last assignment, in order, specified on the last tab processed.
If a task ID on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen is associated with a work accomplished code that has a check (ü) in the Restarts warranty on component field on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Work Accomplished Codes screen and the Related Component/Warranty tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen associates the task with a component that the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Warranty Components screen identifies as one for which FASuite tracks warranty information, FASuite takes the following actions when you close the work order:
Checks the Component Warranties tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Additional Data screen to determine if a warranty is in effect for any such component (or components).
Uses the values in the Duration - months and Meter 1 fields on the Component Warranties tab to update the Expiration date and Expiration life meter 1 fields on that same tab.
