If an update to the Data -> Shop Activity -> Linear Work Order screen includes the assignment of more than one work accomplished code to the same task ID, the application uses the assignment on the last tab it processed. The Tasks tab is processed first. If any of the work accomplished codes on the subsequent tabs (Labor, Parts, and Commercial, in order of sequence) redefine the work accomplished code assigned to the task ID, the last assignment is used, in order, specified on the last tab processed.
If a task ID on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Linear Work Order screen is associated with a work accomplished code that has a check (ΓΌ) in the Restarts warranty on component field on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Work Accomplished Codes screen and the Related Component/Warranty tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Tasks -> Primary Information screen associates the task with a component that the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Warranty Components screen identifies as one for which warranty information is tracked, the following actions occur when you close the work order:
Component Warranties tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Additional Data screen checked to determine if a warranty is in effect for any such component (or components).
Values in the Duration - months and Meter 1 fields on the Component Warranties tab are used to update the Expiration date and Expiration life meter 1 fields on that same tab.
