Work order transfer functions |
You can use the Delay tab on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen to transfer work orders from one shop location to another.
The following actions occur automatically when a work order is transferred.
Current service status changes to WORK FINISHED
Shop and user downtime (if running) on the current work order stop
New work order created for the equipment unit in the transferee shop
Shop and user downtime start on the new work order
Descriptive information from the current work order copied to the new work order, including all fields on the Basic Info (except dates and times), More Info, and Comments tabs
New work order ID inserted in the Reference work order field on the current work order
Current work order number inserted in the Reference work order field on the new work order
Priority code (ID) on the new work order (if the transfer is from a mobile shop to an internal shop) changes to the default priority ID for the equipment unit. (Priority codes are specified on the Codes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.)
Equipment status of the equipment unit changes from AWAITING TRANSFER - SHOP RESPONSIBILITY or USER RESPONSIBILITY to IN SHOP
