During end of month processing, the system performs the following tasks related to active equipment units. Equipment units are active if the Status tab on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen assigns them to a life cycle status code ID that has a check (ü) in the Status denotes that unit is active field on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Life Cycle Status Codes screen.

• Calculates and records NEXT month’s depreciation for all equipment units. To do this, the software uses the applicable depreciation method for each unit. See depreciation rules.

• Calculates and records current month insurance cost for equipment units that satisfy the equipment monthly cost charging rules and have a value in the Insurance rate ID field on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Insurance Rates screen. The monthly insurance cost for the current month is one-twelfth of the value specified in the Current amount per year field (on that screen) for the insurance rate ID assigned to the unit.

• Calculates and posts current month fixed costs for equipment units that satisfy the equipment monthly cost charging rules. For each of the seven categories of fixed costs (fixed monthly cost, fixed insurance cost, fixed replacement cost, fixed licensing cost, fixed cost other 1, fixed cost other 2, and fixed cost other 3), the total monthly amount is the total of all amounts specified for the equipment unit in the fixed cost fields on the Recurring Costs tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.

• Calculates current month lease cost for all leased units that satisfy the equipment monthly lease rent charging rules. FASuite displays this information on the Other tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Historical Costs screen. Rent stops when the current date exceeds the date in the Lease expiration date field on the Ownership and Depreciation tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.

• Resets the Usage tickets posted this month field (on the Status tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen), which specifies whether FASuite processed a usage ticket for the equipment unit during the month.

• Records the latest readings for meters 1 and 2 in the Equipment Cost Data table (EQ_COST_DATA).

• Calculates a value for current life meter 1 and 2 readings.
