Basic Info |
The Basic Info tab enables you to track freight usage and capture details about freight moves.
The fields in the top section of the Basic Info tab identify the freight and the date the usage occurred.
Freight identifier
Identifier of the freight train. This field is required. The maximum field length is 15 characters. This field has a list box. If the ID already exists, its description displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
The same freight identifier may be used more than once for the same date.
Date
Date (in MM-DD-YYYY format) the usage occurred. This field is required. Cannot be greater than current date.
Note: The date displays without a time in the upper grid for this field. Data entered prior to Release 5.5 may still show a time of 00:00, but any new data entered will display without a time.
The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to provide high-level information about the freight train. These fields are optional.
Location ID
Identifier of the operations location. This field has a list box. The location ID description displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
Location IDs are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen. To be included in the list box on this screen, a location ID must be designated as for operations.
Tip: If you enter a location ID, the route ID choice list is restricted based on it.
Department ID
Identifier of the department. This field has a list box. The department ID description displays in the unlabeled field to the right. Transits may use department ID to track division.
Department IDs are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Departments -> Primary Information screen.
Route
Identifier of the route. This field has a list box. The route's description displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
Route IDs are defined on the Data -> Operations -> Setup -> Routes screen.
Tip: If you enter a route ID, the stop ID choice list is restricted based on it.
Lead equipment
Text field in which you can identify the lead equipment. The maximum field length is 20 characters.
Note: In the following fields, the system tabs through the origin data fields and then through the destination data fields.
Time - Origin
The time (in HH:MM format) that the train originated its trip.
Stop ID - Origin
Identifier of the origination stop. This field has a list box.
Stop IDs are defined on the Data -> Operations -> Setup -> Stops screen.
Total # equipment - Origin
Numbers of equipment at origination. The maximum field length is five characters.
Tons - Origin
Tons of equipment at origination. The maximum field length is seven characters.
# loaded - Origin
Numbers of containers loaded at origination. The maximum field length is five characters.
# empty - Origin
Numbers of empty containers at origination. The maximum field length is five characters.
# hazard - Origin
Numbers of hazardous equipment at origination. The maximum field length is five characters.
Time - Destination
The time (in HH:MM format) that the train arrived at its destination. The destination time must be greater than the origin time.
Stop ID - Destination
Identifier of the destination stop. This field has a list box. Stop IDs are defined on the Data -> Operations -> Setup -> Stops screen.
Total # equipment - Destination
Numbers of equipment at the destination. The maximum field length is five characters.
Tons - Destination
Tons of equipment at the destination. The maximum field length is seven characters.
# loaded - Destination
Numbers of containers loaded at the destination. The maximum field length is five characters.
# empty - Destination
Numbers of empty containers at the destination. The maximum field length is five characters.
# hazard - Destination
Numbers of hazardous equipment at the destination. The maximum field length is five characters.
