The Printer Info tab enables you to display and specify the printer at which locations receive messages.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Location ID
Identifier of the location currently selected in the grid. This field has a list box. The location name displays to the right of the ID.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab specify information about the message printer for the location.
Message printer ID
Identifier of the printer that prints messages sent to this location. This field has a list box that includes only printers that have a check (ü) in the For messages only field on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Printers -> Printer Devices/Queues screen. Messages are sent to this printer to notify the user that a parts request to the location ID has been completed on the Data -> Parts Activity -> Requests screen. This field is optional.
Output destination and printer description
Output destination associated with the printer in the Printer ID field and the printer's description. The destination displays after you specify the printer ID. Display only. The output destination is one of the following:
Name of the print queue.
Path to and file name under which you want to save the records as text files. If the file already exists, the output is appended to the existing file.
Output destinations are associated with printer names on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Printers -> Printer Devices/Queues screen.
Default printer ID for shop scheduling
Identifier of the default printer for shop scheduling work orders. This field has a list box of printers not designated as "for message only". This field is optional.
Printers are defined on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Printers -> Printer Devices/Queues screen.
Output destination and printer description
Text description of the printer for shop scheduling and the location where the materials will be printed. This is for display only.
Expedited part request and use high priority printer if priority rank is higher than
Priority ranking can be set for messages and requests. If a message has a priority higher than the number you set in this field, the message will be sent to the high priority printer. An indication will also be made in the portals that the part request will be expedited upon receipt.
High priority message printer ID
This printer prints high priority messages. Messages are sent to this printer based on its priority ranking.
Output destination and printer description
A text description of the printer for shop scheduling and the location where the materials will be printed. This is display only.
Action type when printing control labels for removed parts
Allows user to configure when control labels should be printed.
DEFAULT - Prints at time of request.
ISSUE ONLY - Does not print at time of request. Prints label when a request line is being issued.
