Serial Number Renumbering

The Serial Number Renumbering screen enables you to change the serial number assigned to important or expensive stocked parts or components.

Renumbering is useful in situations where the previously assigned serial number is starting to wear off or is no longer readable, so a new number must be assigned and etched or engraved into the unit. As long as you are officially tracking these items as serialized parts or serialized components, in most cases you should be able to determine the old serial number, or use the process of elimination based on the other determinable items already installed on the equipment unit.
