Manage |
The Manage tab enables you to save query or report definitions, run (execute) and print defined queries or reports, and delete query or report definitions. To access this tab, you must be authorized to use the Query/Report Generator.
From the Manage tab, you can:
Run Report: Run a report: Execute the report and send the output to a printer or file. You cannot close the Query/Report Generator screen while the system retrieves the data. The data is organized according to the format specified on the Layout tab.
Quick
View Query: Perform
a quick-view query: Display the data included in a report. Quick-view
queries use the FASuite default format: one blank column between data
items and default titles for the columns. Layout instructions are
ignored and report titles, page breaks, subtotals, and section breaks
are omitted for defined groups. Column names are used for column headings
and column heading length is limited to the width of the data in each
column.
Data is sent only to the screen; quick-view queries cannot send data
to a printer or a file. Use quick-view queries when you are more interested
in the data values rather than how the data is formatted on the screen.
Once you perform a quick-view query of a report, the report definition
information appears on all the tabs of the screen and you can view
or update it.
Delete Report: Delete a report: In addition to the Query/Report Generator, you can use Web Modules or any other reporting tool sold separately (such as Microsoft Access) that can attach to the database. Refer to the related documentation for these products.
