Comments

The Comments tab for test results enables you to display and record comments related to test results. You also can associate data files (such as a certification template or an inspection sheet) with a test result. You can use the % wildcard character to filter the results of choice-lists on this screen. The Test Results screen supports location-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.

Note: Test Element Validation: If there is a check in the Validate test element values upon entry field on the Options tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Options screen and you enter a value on this tab that is not allowed, you must delete it before the record may be saved. In addition, if required data has not been entered, you must enter it before the record may be saved.
If the Validate test element values upon entry field is blank, these requirements are not enforced until you close the test result.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on test ID, work order information, status, part ID/suffix, segment ID, to/from marker ID, and to/from offset, among other values. If you specify a range, any record that crosses any part of that range will be displayed. Search results are limited to data for locations to which the user group has been granted access.

Detail View Header

The fields in the top section of this tab define the data that displays.

Test ID

Sequential identifier for the test run selected in the grid.

Detail View

The fields in the bottom section of this tab enable you record comments about the test results and associate a data file (or files) with a result. These fields are optional.

Comments

Free-format text field for comments. Comments cannot be edited once the record has been saved.

Associated file

Path and file name

Navigation path and file name of the data file associated with the test results. This field has a file launch button .
