Charge Details |
The Charge Details tab displays details about the charges included on work orders.
For best results, use the filter to limit the display. Choices include the following:
A single equipment ID
A group of equipment IDs (using one or more wildcards)
A valid work order ID (work order location, work order year, and work order number)
A valid work order location ID[.
If you filter solely on work order location ID and do not include any other data to help identify the equipment (e.g., equipment ID, equipment type, model year, manufacturer ID, or model ID), the filter results will include data for all equipment units that have had a work order at the specified location. You can limit the display of information to other specific values to maximize performance.
Caution: Filtering solely on work order location ID is a database resource-intensive activity. You are encouraged to enter as many filter criteria as possible to improve screen performance.
Tip: The filter has an Include apportioned job overhead field, which does not appear on the Work Order Summary screen. If you place a check in this field, work order overhead is distributed equally across all tasks listed. This increases the amount of time required to retrieve data, so it is not recommended unless it is necessary to view the overhead cost data.
The Work Order Summary screen supports location level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.
You can use the sort button to select any sequence for the summary. A sequence of task-date lists the data in sequence by task ID; within each task ID, it sequences the tasks by date, with the earliest one first. This sequence conveniently groups all work in a subject area to which the inquiry pertains (group, task, or service code).
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Equipment ID
Identifier of the equipment unit. This field has a list box of equipment unit IDs, excluding equipment units with a check in the Exclude from inventory lists field on the Authorization tab of the Fleet Equipment screen. The equipment unit year, manufacturer, and model display to the right of the ID.
Tip: You can set a zoom button for this field to detect the type of equipment and display the appropriate screen. If you used Administrator Mode to add a zoom button, you will need to use it again to remove your user-defined zoom button for this functionality to work.
Equipment IDs are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
The bottom section of this tab contains the details about the charges. All the fields are display only.
The tab includes general work order information (work order number, job status, open and close dates, job type, equipment ID, meter 1 and 2 readings, and department information), charges by task (task information and labor, parts, and vendor summaries), part description (if parts were posted to the work order), and work order total charges for labor and parts hours and costs; vendor labor and parts; and name of the employee who posted the charges.
