The Status tab enables you to display and define information about the current status of planning projects. This tab can help you make decisions regarding necessary changes to the project
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on project ID, requesting user ID, originating location ID, destination location ID, budget year, purchase year, status, and purpose, among other values. You can use the sort button to specify a sort sequence. If you do not specify a sort sequence, the IDs are listed in descending project ID order.
The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Project ID
Identifier of the project currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. This field has a list box. The project description displays to the right of the ID.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define the status information about the project. Unless otherwise indicated, the information is optional.
Status
Status of the project. When you specify a new choice in this field, the associated Date and time fields update automatically. This field is required. This field has a list box:
REQUEST: You can update all aspects of projects with this status.
PLANNED: The project is partially approved (one or more events on the Event/Approval Tracking tab still need approval).
ACTIVE: The project is active. Required to use the Data -> Procurement screens for the project. This status is set automatically when you process a check in the Approved checkbox and specify by in the associated field.
COMPLETE: The project is completed.
CANCELED: The project is canceled.
Note: If you select a status in error, you must delete the information in the associated Date and time field.
Date and time created
Date and time the project was created. This field is display only.
Note: The following fields update automatically when you specify a new choice in the Status field.
Date and time requested
Date and time the project's status was changed to REQUEST. Required if there is no information in the Budgeted year field on the Basic Info tab.
Date and time planned
Date and time the project's status was changed to PLANNED.
Date and time activated
Date and time the project's status was changed to ACTIVE.
Date and time completed
Date and time the project's status was changed to COMPLETE.
Date and time canceled
Date and time the project's status was changed to CANCELED.
Note: When you process this screen with information in the following two fields, the Status field automatically updates to ACTIVE and the current system date and time display in the Date and time activated field.
Approved
If this field has a check, the project is approved. You must specify a valid user ID in the by field.
by
Identifier of the user who approved the project by placing a check in the Approved field. This field has a list box.
Purpose
Reason that the project was defined. This field has a list box:
REPLACEMENT: This is the default. You must specify at least one ID in the Equipment ID field on the Equipment Replaced tab.

UPGRADE
DOWNGRADE
CHANGE IN MIX
Exception
Comments about any exceptions made to the approval of the project. Optional, free-format area. Maximum field length is 20 characters.
Superseded by project ID
Identifier of the project that supersedes this one, if any. This field has a list box. The project's description displays beneath the ID.
