Priority Codes |
The Priority Codes screen enables you to define codes (identifiers) for shop priorities and identify the functions to which they apply. To assign priority codes to work orders and tasks, use the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen.
Priority codes enable you to:
Determine when work orders or tasks are required
The Time unit defined for the priority code is added to the Date and time in field on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen in order to compute a value for the Date and time due field.
Determine the relative priority of pending tasks and work orders
You can define a unique rank for each priority code.
If the Shop Scheduling module is active, the time information associated with these codes, in conjunction with shop work calendar information, is used to compute the dates and times by which shop tasks are required to be complete. If the Service Level Agreement (SLA) module is active, these codes are used to track fleet response to equipment problems at various priority levels.
