Linear Offset Info |
The Linear Offset Info tab tracks offset information for linear equipment units. Data is sorted by equipment ID in ascending order followed by start date and time in descending order, so the current row for each equipment unit displays first. To track assignment history information, check the individual options on the Assignment History tab of the Equipment Units - Setup - Options screen.
Note to System Administrators: If you do not use the Linear Assets module, you can use the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Rights Templates -> Control Rights Template to hide this tab from your users.
Tip: The More Info tab on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Options screen includes options to synchronize assigned location, department, or location and department changes from the parent to all attached components.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can search on equipment ID; begin/end date and time; department ID, operator ID/name, assigned repair location ID, station location ID, and SLA equipment category, and the new value for each; among other values. The list of searchable fields on the filter is extensive; use the scroll bar to view them all.
The row that you selected in the grid area defines the data that displays in the fields in the tab area. All fields are display only; they provide an audit trail for business practices and policies.
Equipment ID
Identifier of the equipment unit. The equipment year, manufacturer, and model display to the right of the ID.
User who made this change
Identifier of the user who changed the record. The user name displays to the right of the ID.
Begin date and time
Date and time (24-hour clock from 00:00 to 23:59) the assignment began.
End date and time
Date and time the assignment ended. This field is blank for the current assignment.
The fields in the bottom section of this tab display offset information for linear equipment units. All fields are display only.
New value
If there is a check in any of the following fields, the value in the applicable field to the right was changed at the begin date and time. If the corresponding field on this tab is blank on the Assignment History tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Options screen, however, updates are not tracked.
Tip: You can use the New value field in the filter to limit the display to equipment IDs that have had assignment changes.
From marker ID
Identifier of the marker at which the asset originates. This field has a list box.
From segment ID
Identifier of the segment at which the asset originates. This field has a list box.
From x offset
Distance along the segment from the From marker ID.
To marker ID
The marker ID at which the asset terminates. This field has a list box.
To segment ID
The segment ID at which the asset terminates. This field has a list box.
To x offset
Distance along the segment from the To marker ID.
From latitude
Latitude coordinates for the From marker ID.
From longitude
Longitude coordinates for the From marker ID.
To latitude
Latitude coordinates for the To marker ID.
To longitude
Longitude coordinates for the To marker ID.
