The Call Center screen enables you to display, insert (open), and record information about vendor work orders and their related estimate information, based on information a call center staff collects from equipment operators, independent vendors, operator supervisors, and zone managers. Once the work order is opened (inserted) and approved, call center staff can call the vendor whose ID is specified on the Basic Info tab to dispatch the work.
Note: This screen supports department-level and location-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.
You can use the filter to limit the information display to specific values, which will also maximize performance.
If you place a check in the Has estimate field of the filter and click the Get Data button, this screen displays work orders with values that are greater than zero (0) in the Estimated cost/Total field (on the Estimate tab).
If you leave the Has estimate field blank, this screen displays work orders with values of zero (0) in the Estimated cost/Total field.
You can use the % wildcard character to filter the results of choice-lists on this screen.
Tip: Before you delete an open work order, you must manually reverse all labor and parts costs posted to it. Go to the Labor, Parts, and Commercial tabs of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Work Order Center screen to determine what has been posted.

Inserts (opens) vendor work orders and records identifying information about them, including the job types; equipment information; and dates and times of significant work order events
Other information about the work order, such as the meter reading (or readings); dates and times in and estimated for completion; repair reason ID; and work class
Messages about selected work orders or equipment units. If a work order requires approval, the message WORK ORDER REQUIRES APPROVAL displays
