Upon the return of each equipment unit dispatched on a motor pool reservation, the rental rates specified for the reservation’s pool vehicle type (specified in the Pool vehicle type for rental rates field on the Vehicle Requirements tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Motor Pool -> Motor Pool Center screen) are used to calculate the rental charges for the use of the unit.

The calculation process is as follows:

Step 1. Calculate and adjust usage time

Step 2. Calculate basic charges for usage time

Step 3. Adjust charges for usage time to lowest appropriate charge

Step 4. Add charges per meter unit

Step 5. Add other charges

• Note: You can modify or remove cancellation charges by performing a separate update after the charges have been assessed.
