The Output Control tab enables you to define printing information related to the receipt of parts that have a check in the Immediate receipt field on the Line Items tab.
Control labels are printed for parts issued on work orders that include warranty work. For more information, go to control labels.
The fields in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.
Location ID
Identifier of the location which is to receive the part (or parts). This field has a list box.
If the Manage parts ordering and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) values field on the General tab of the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen specifies BY LOCATION:
Location level access may be in effect for this screen.
All line items under an order must be for the same order location, and you cannot change the order location once you create the order. To change location, you must close all line items on the order, delete the order, and re-create it at the correct location.
If the Automatic numbering for purchase orders field on the Purchase Orders tab of the Data -> Purchasing -> Setup -> Options screen specifies STANDARD, the location’s next available purchase order number displays in the Purchase order ID field.
Purchase order ID
Identifier of the purchase order. This field has a list box.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define the printing information.
Printer ID
Identifier of the printer associated with the Output destination field when the destination is a print queue. This field displays the default label printer ID (if any) specified for the current user. This field has a list box of printer IDs that the Printers tab on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Users screen specifies are used by the logged on user. Optional, but required to print parts receipt labels.
If there is a check in the Immediate receipt field on the Line Items tab and in the Print receipt labels field on the Labels tab on the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen, parts receipt labels print automatically when you process an insert on this screen. If you do not want to print parts receipt labels, make sure this field is blank.
Output destination
Output destination associated with the printer in the Printer ID field. The destination displays after you specify the printer ID. This field is display only. The output destinations are as follows:
Name of the print queue.
Path to and file name under which you want to save the parts receipt labels as a text file. If the file already exists, the output is added to the existing file.
Output destinations are associated with printer IDs on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Printers -> Printer Devices/Queues screen.
