Quick Orders

The Quick Orders screen enables you to order, receive, and issue stock parts and special order parts, all from the same vendor. Each insert of a part order from this screen must include parts purchased from only one vendor. You can also immediately issue parts received on quick orders. See Actions performed during processing of a parts issue.

The Data -> Purchasing menu provides two other screens from which you can order parts: the Reordering screen and the Part Orders screen. On the Reordering screen, you can specify that  purchase orders be generated automatically as part of the reordering process. The differences between this Quick Orders screen and the Part Orders screen are as follows:

The advantage is that you can record the parts you want to order throughout the day and process the insert at the end of the day.

If the Manage parts ordering and Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) values field on the General tab of the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen specifies BY LOCATION, location level access may be in effect for this screen.
