The Shop Scheduling module requires that you specify the resource requirements and the resources available in each shop. (See the following Setup screens.) Resources include bays, technicians, tools, and parts.

Tasks are scheduled for times when all the resources required to perform the tasks are available. If a task cannot be scheduled because a resource is not available, a message displays the task name and the reason it could not be scheduled.

Create Schedule

Runs the shop scheduler in order to schedule tasks in a shop

Schedule Results

Displays results of a schedule run for a shop

Resource Hours Change

Records changes, such as absences, in employees’ normal working hours

Setup

Provides access to screens that set up shop scheduling options, bays, and types of bay work and skills
