Output Control |
The Output Control tab enables you to define printing information for parts receipt labels. If specified, labels are printed for the quantity of each part received. If you do not want to print parts receipt labels, make sure the Printer ID field is blank. Control labels are printed for parts issued on work orders that include warranty work. For more information, go to control labels.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on purchase order ID, vendor ID, and external PO number.
The Receipts screen supports location level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.
The fields in the top section of this tab define the data that displays.
Purchase order ID
Identifier of the purchase order for which the parts were received. This field has a list box of purchase order IDs in descending order. If the purchase order is closed, you may only process the return of parts to the vendor.
Vendor ID
Identifier of the vendor that supplied the part. The vendor name displays to the right of the ID. This field has a zoom button to the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Vendors -> Primary Information screen.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab define the printing information.
Printer ID
Identifier of the printer associated with the Output destination field when the destination is a print queue. The field displays the default label printer ID (if any) for the current user. This field has a list box of printer IDs specified as used by the logged on user on the Printers tab of the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Users screen.
If there is information in this field and a check in the Print receipt labels field on the Labels tab of the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Options screen, parts receipt labels print automatically when you process an insert or update on this screen. If you do not want to print parts receipt labels, leave this field blank. Optional, but required to print parts receipt labels.
Output destination
Output destination associated with the printer in the Printer ID field. The destination displays after you specify the printer ID. This field is display only. The output destination is one of the following:
Name of the print queue.
Path to and file name under which you want to save the messages or receipt labels as a text file. If the file already exists, the output is appended to the existing file.
Output destinations are associated with printer IDs on the System Management -> Setup -> Printers -> Printer Devices/Queues screen.
