Output Control |
The Output Control tab enables you to specify how many labels will be printed and which printer to use. Labels are printed only for stock part receipts.
You may also print two types of messages: bin placement instructions and notification that stock parts or non-stock parts for a work order have been received. Whether these messages print depends on the options set at the receiving location:
Bin placement instructions for received parts. Prints only if the received quantity minus issue quantity is greater than zero and there is a check in the Binning instructions message when a part is received into stock field on the Inventory tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen and a printer ID for the location is specified on the Printer Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen. Issued parts are not included in the quantity printed on the message.
Notice of stock or non-stock part received (and issued) for a work order. A receipt message prints only if there is a check in the Message when a part is received for use on a specified work order field on the Inventory - More Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen and a printer ID for the work order location is specified on the Printer Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen.
Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on purchase order ID; line number; receiving location; vendor ID, contract ID, and invoice number; status; part; and date/time received, among other values.
The Receipts screen supports location-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.
The fields in the top section of the Output Control tab are display only from the Basic Info tab.
Purchase order ID
Identifier of the purchase order either currently selected in the grid. The description displays to the right of the field. This field also has a zoom button to the Data -> Enterprise Purchasing -> Purchase Orders screen.
Line number
The line item number.
Fully receive all line items for receiving location on purchase order
If this field has a check, all OPEN line items for the purchase order are received. The only exception is serialized parts, for which you must enter a separate receipt because you must enter a serial number. If a receipt batch ID was looked up or specified on the initial receipt, it is assigned to receipt transactions for the specified location. Lines that do not have a unit price are not received with this action (you must enter a separate receipt for any order line that does not have a price).
Receipt ID
The identifier of the receipt. This is auto-filled when a purchase order and line number is entered.
New purchase order and/or new line item
If this field has a check, the receipt being recorded is for a new purchase order and/or new line item.
The fields in the bottom section of the tab define the label printing information.
Printer ID
The default label printer ID (if any) for the current user. This field has a list box of printer IDs that the Printers tab of the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Users screen specifies as used by the logged on user.
Note: You may change the printer ID if you would like to use a label printer other than the default.
Output destination
Output destination associated with the printer in the Printer ID field. This field auto-populates after you specify the printer ID. This field is display only. Output destinations are associated with printer IDs on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Printers -> Printer Devices/Queues screen.
Receipt label qty
Number of receipt labels to be printed. For NON-STOCK parts, this field defaults to 0. For STOCK PARTS, this field defaults to part quantity multiplied by purchase issue factor minus immediate issue quantity, but you can change it. Fractional quantities (such as 100.5) are rounded down to whole numbers. The maximum allowed is 1,000.
