Data


The Data menu provides access to the following menus. To learn more about each menu, click the applicable hyperlink.

Equipment Units

Define and display primary information about equipment units, subsystems and parts, specifications, component relationships, and historical costs; set up how the system processes equipment unit information

Equipment Activity

Define and display information about equipment unit activity, such as service requests/defects, status change by customer, fueling, usage, testing, special fees, accidents, multi-unit projects, and motor pools

Equipment Management

Define and display information about equipment unit management, such as equipment due for preventive maintenance (PM) and inspections, summaries and histories, and service level agreements

Shop Activity

Process information about work orders, service level agreement statuses, labor capture, time cards, parts cannibalization, commercial charges, orders awaiting parts, scheduling, tools, and labor reports. Specify how the system processes shop activity information

Production Planning

Optional module for organizations that operate large rebuild or manufacturing shops. Manage requests for rebuilt items; manage work flow through a rebuild shop

Call Center

Support the creation of vendor work orders and invoices taken by Call Center staff

Parts Items

Process information about parts items, inventory, renumbering, bin labels, and setup options

Parts Activity

Process information about parts activity, inventory, kit assembly, and parts requests

Enterprise Purchasing

Create requisitions, bids, responses to bids, and purchase orders; order or receive stock parts, non-stock parts, commercial services, fees, and shipping costs

Parts Repair

Process information about parts repair (internal and external)

Warranty

Manage warranty claims; define warranty options, attributes, and status; record manufacturer cause and complaint codes

Purchasing

Track orders, receipts, and returns of items and services; manage vendor information; calculate costs

Procurement

Track all steps in equipment unit procurement, including bid, estimate, requisition, and delivery

Data Capture

Upload, manage, and process information captured in hand-held devices

General Import

Define how the system imports and processes imported data transactions; enable users to import and process such data

Fuel/Fluid Tanks

Access to screens that display and define information about fuel and fluid tanks, pumps, totalizer readings, fuel types, and fluid types

Fuel/Fluid Activity

Access to screens that display and define information about fuel receipts, transfers, and tank readings

Operations

Pertains to the optional Operation Module. Define rail routes and schedules; manage the trains that deliver service; track performance; manage and track trips

Incident Management

Identify, track, and analyze incidents, including transportation, mechanical, engineering, and security. Document delays, injuries, accidents, alarms, complaints, and defects

Setup

Define how the system edits and validates general and sales tax entries; define information related to the organization's structure
