Operators - Primary Information |
The Primary Information screen for operators enables you to display and record information that relates to each of the organization’s pool or equipment operators.
Note: An operator cannot be deleted while associated with a user. The user must be removed from the operator record prior to deleting the operator.
The following information is tracked for each operator:
Personal, employment, and license information
Credit card data
Authority level
Operators do not need to be defined unless one of the following is true:
The Operator Assignment tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Options screen specifies that a valid operator ID is required.
The optional Motor Pool module is installed and there is a check in the Validate operator ID on reservations field on the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Motor Pool -> Setup -> Options screen.
This screen supports department-level and location-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.
If department security is active for user groups, you must set up appropriate access rights to screen ID 2022 on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Rights Templates -> Department Rights Template screen.

Personal information about operators, including their operator ID, name, address, and home telephone number
Operators’ job titles; departments, accounts, and assigned equipment IDs; points of contact; employment and termination dates; statuses; and tax benefits
Operators’ license numbers and expiration dates; points of issue; classifications; and last DMV check dates
Operators’ credit card issuing companies; numbers; and issues and expiration dates
Tasks that operators are authorized to perform
Information about the operators’ preferences regarding motor pool equipment
