Test Results |
The Test Results screen enables you to track quantitative values or PASS/FAIL readings that your mechanics measure. Examples include brake lining thickness values, tire tread depth, di-electric test results, and smog test values. You can display, insert, update, or delete test results and their elements. Test results may be entered only if the associated work order has a status of OPEN or WORK FINISHED.
The following items include extra information for test results:
Test results are required only if the test type has an equipment class setup that matches the equipment unit’s equipment class and that equipment class is required to have a test result. If the test type does not require a test result, test results do not need to be completed before the work order is finished or closed.
The stage at which test results are required is specified on the Work Orders - More Info tab of the Data -> Setup -> Organization Structure -> Locations -> Primary Information screen.
Whether the test type is required on every work order for equipment units of the specified class is specified on the Equipment Classes tab of the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Testing -> Setup -> Test Types screen.
Whether a test must be closed as a condition of completing the work order is specified on the Procedures tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Class -> Class/Task Information screen. Test results need not be closed when closing a work order if the test type is classified as FEEDBACK or ATTRIBUTE.
If Mobile Software is installed, you can use hand-held devices to transfer test result information between the application and the hand-held devices in order to work with the data from remote locations. Refer to the related documentation for these products.
Note: This screen supports location-level access control, so you must belong to a user group with the applicable authorizations to make changes or updates.
You can use the % wildcard character to filter the results of choice-lists on this screen.
